Here’s a few of the stories we’ve been following this past week:
- The Columbia Spectator had a fantastic piece about our “We’re Going to the Principal’s Office” campaign.
- The ever-fabulous Liz Benjamin picked up our Action Fund’s endorsement of Peralta.
- As did Azi Parbarah at the NY Observer.
- WFUV Radio interviewed PPNYC’s Traci about the Peralta-Monserrate rade.
- Meanwhile, the New York Times ran an editorial against Hiram Monserrate.
- Who officially kicked off his campaign last week.
- Even though he is now 100% completely officially expelled from the State Senate.
- And the DNC is angry at him for stealing Obama’s “Yes We Can” slogan.
- However, Monserrate was loudly booed at his first debate against Peralta.
- And Liz Benjamin says Peralta is in the lead.
- As does the NY Observer.
- In fact, according to a recent poll, only 13% of voters support Monserrate.
- In other news, the Metro paper covered those anti-abortion subway ads.
- And finally, NYC picked a design winner for the city’s free condoms.
- This past week, the New York Times ran a huge editorial on the various restrictive laws on abortion happening all over the country.
- It also called for the anti-abortion democrats to give up some ground on health care reform.
- The Washington Post says that Universal Health Care tends to drastically lower the abortion rate.
- In unfortunate news, Utah has now criminalized “intentional” miscarriages.
- There’s a new study on how women on the birth control pill live longer.
That’s all we’ve got. What have you been reading?
