Come march with PPNYC in NYC’s Pride Parade!!!
As of this Sunday, New York City Pride will have been going on for 40 years! That’s a long time since the Stonewall Riots. Over the years Pride’s purpose has broadened to include the fight against AIDS, a remembrance of those we have lost to illness, violence and neglect, and a celebration of our lives and community. This year, as marriage equality has been a divisive issue in the NY State Senate (and across the country), we especially have something to march about.
So come march! Planned Parenthood of New York City will be leading a group, handing out condoms, and all together having a good time. Also! We’ll all be dressed up! I can’t tell you what our theme this year will be though — it’s super secret. You’ll just have to sign up to find out!
